We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, the type of enquiry you select, and the content of your message.
If you send us bills or meter photographs, we collect whatever those documents contain. That may include your address, your supply numbers and your consumption history.
TODO: confirm whether meter photographs and bills are retained after a review is complete, and for how long.
Why we use it
We use what you send to answer your enquiry and, where you have asked for one, to carry out a bill review. We do not use it for anything else and we do not sell it.
TODO: state the lawful basis for each purpose. Legitimate interests and consent are both likely to apply here and they are not interchangeable.
How long we keep it
TODO: set a retention period for enquiries, for review documents, and for correspondence. "As long as necessary" is not a retention period.
Who else sees it
TODO: list every processor. At minimum this will include the email provider used to deliver contact form submissions, the hosting provider, and Tidio, which provides the live chat and handles the messages sent through it. Each needs naming, along with where they store data.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, and to object to our using it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
